A notable group of business development leaders in South Denver health care are funding and directing the development of the Health Corridor project:
 
Steering Group Bios
- Maureen Tarrant, President and CEO of Sky Ridge Medical Center
Maureen has more than 20 years of healthcare management experience, including HealthONE Vice President for Strategic and Administrative Services. Active in her profession, she is also a board member/Treasurer of the Colorado Hospital Association, a board member of the Eating Disorder Center of Denver, and a member of American Hospital Association’s Regional Policy Board.
 

- Terry Ford, Executive Director, Parker Adventist Hospital

Terry became CEO in 2007; after serving as CEO for Porter Adventist Hospital and CFO for both Porter and Avista Adventist Hospitals. At Porter he lead the development of Porter Spine Institute and Porter Center for Joint Replacement in 2005. Prior, he was CFO at Truman Medical Center. He also served as CFO at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa and director of revenue cycle at HCA-Independence Regional Health Center. Independence, Mo. and Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Kansas.

 

- Tish Buroker, Associate Vice President, LabCorp (Englewood)

Tish has worked in Health Care for the past 34 years.  For the past 15 yrs she has held different management responsibilities with LabCorp.  She currently is responsible for the Denver and Salt Lake City facilities.  She is a past president of the Utah Clinical Laboratory Management Association and a past board member for the Rocky Mountain Infection Control Association.  She currently serves on the board of the American Cancer Association in Colorado.

- Andrea Chase, Executive Director, Arapahoe Douglas Elbert Medical Society

Andrea Chase was appointed by the Arapahoe-Douglas-Elbert Medical Society in 2005 as the Executive Director. Andrea previously worked for a large multi-specialty physician IPA in South Denver and has held positions at a Colorado Health Plan and various practice settings in both Colorado and California.  Andrea serves on the board of Doctors Care, the Arapahoe-Douglas-Elbert Medical Managers Association and chairs the Colorado Medical Society Executives in 2008 and 2009.

 

- Mike Vickers, CEO, Compark Business and Medical Campus

Mike has led the 700 acre Compark real estate development project to create a modern business park asset in South Denver. From inception of the project, Mike has conceptualized, planned, and processed the Compark PD mixed use development. He has been actively involved in the real estate development business for over 25 years, with experiences in master planned communities of Desert Mountain and Desert Highlands, in Phoenix and Castle Pines in South Denver.

 

 - Patrick Holwell, Organizational Development Coordinator, Arapahoe Douglas Works

Patrick has an active role connecting the work/programs of Arapahoe Douglas Works with private industry and economic development groups, including the  major medical groups like HealthONE and development organizations such as Southeast Business Partnership.

- Dr. Philip McCready, Principal, Innovation Economic

Dr. Philip McCready is the founder of IE, an economic consulting company specializing in strategies for industry growth and competitiveness. Philip is a specialist in development economics, particularly in research and planning to support business competitiveness. Key work areas: Opportunities and gap analysis; Real estate and land development; Industry targeting and Technology and innovation strategies.
